Send feedback from inside the app

Open the menu and choose Send Feedback — it's in the bottom bar on iPhone and iPad, and in the toolbar (or the Help menu) on Mac. The form attaches your platform, OS version, device model, app version, and locale automatically. Nothing else goes along unless you fill in the optional email field.

If you want a reply, include an email address.

Common questions

Is Lexicon free? What happened to "Remove Ads"?

Lexicon is free and has no ads at all. Earlier versions showed banner ads and sold a one-time "Remove Ads" upgrade; both have been removed, so there is nothing left to unlock or restore. If you bought that upgrade previously, you've simply got the whole app — as does everyone else.

There's an optional $0.99 tip jar in the menu if you'd like to support development. It unlocks nothing.

My searches return no results.

Check you've typed at least one letter, and that the letters you typed can actually spell something — try adding a vowel, or removing an awkward letter. Also make sure no letter chips are still selected from a previous search: choose Clear above the results to drop the filter.

A game accepted a word Lexicon doesn't list.

Lexicon searches ENABLE, a public-domain word list of 172,823 words. It covers ordinary play thoroughly but omits some very obscure inflected forms that only appear in tournament Scrabble adjudication. Different games use different dictionaries, so occasional disagreement is expected.

The animated background isn't moving.

If Reduce Motion is switched on in your Accessibility settings, the drifting tiles start out disabled — nobody who asked the system for less animation should get them by surprise. Turn them on for Lexicon alone with Animated Background in the menu; that choice sticks.

The app crashes or hangs when I search.

Force-quit the app, reopen it, and try again. If it persists, send feedback from inside the app — the report includes your version and device automatically, which helps us reproduce it.

Can I delete my search history?

Search history lives only on your device, in standard user defaults. Deleting and reinstalling the app clears it. It is never transmitted anywhere.

Do I have to buy the Mac version separately?

No. Lexicon is a universal purchase — the Mac app is included with the iPhone and iPad version, so you can install it on every device you own at no extra cost.

Where can I leave a review?

On the App Store page for Lexicon. Reviews really help.
